A member of our behavioral health team will ask a few brief questions to understand what you're experiencing and which program may be the best fit.

If our IOP is appropriate, we schedule an in-person clinical evaluation at the Port Charlotte or Arcadia location nearest you, usually within a few business days.
DeSoto Memorial Hospital Behavioral Health serves adults across Charlotte and DeSoto Counties, including Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port, Arcadia, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities. Both of our locations offer the full Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and psychiatric medication management.

A photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any prior records or referrals you'd like us to review. We'll guide you through the rest.
Yes. Our IOP is designed for adults who need structured, evidence-based care — including therapy and medication management — without inpatient admission. We treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, substance use, and co-occurring conditions.
Yes. All intake, treatment, and records are protected under HIPAA. We share information only with your written consent or where law requires it.
